Commentary On “Marc Andreessen on Why Software Is Eating the World”
Timely reflections and insightful opinions to clear the cobwebs of confusion on the current trends in lead generation software.
Just my 2 cents, Smart Grid Sector specially Energy Generation & Distribution (both in traditional and renewable energy space) is a multi-billion dollar software market ! Just Smart Analytics combined with M2M communication between 'Home Area Power Sources' can save huge energy loss. Many startups namely EcoFactor, Tendril More
Some Thoughts On “Lamenting Borders’ Death at ‘Store No. 1′”
BOOKS:
Borders: Grab a magazine and sit in a comfortable chair possibly drinking coffee. Maybe stand in line to buy a book. Read it then stand in line to return it within 30 days.
B&N: The same except after two weeks you get a credit that is good for another book.
The library: Look online dating scams. If your local has it then go there. If not order it online to be sent to your local library. Get a notification it has arrived. Check it out on the More
Views On “Review & Outlook: Political Target Practice”
by the way Mr. Brock, is that car you insure with Progressive a Lada? That great U.S.S.R. product that shows the falicy of corporate team building activities supremacy by the government building a product that costs many times what an auto built by the decadent corporate oppression of the free market and oh, by the way, can't seem to make it out of town without a breakdown.
Yes it is truly horrendous Frank, that these oppressive corporations should More
An Opinion On “Rhode Island Law a Boon For Bondholders”
Doesn't the government exempt itself from complying with rules that apply to the private emotion sector with regards to pension funding and disclosure? Therefore, the beneficiaries of these plans should take additional risk relative to the private sector/bond purchasers. Only government unions would think that you can hide the facts from the private sector and still be entitled to the spoils relative to the private sector when things don't work More
My View On “Barnes & Noble, Borders Express Concern About the Economy”
Organisational sclerosis is the types of marketingt touted bar to the proper functioning of business. However, the issue of 'what does this actually mean', becomes paramount as poorly conceived responses to this kind of analysis often precipitate terminal decline. A case of 'the cure may kill the patient'.
The economic argument seems to be about books having a commodity value. I would like to think that some books have a greater value than the sum More
Opinion On “Banks’ Direct”
I have a chequing account with US Bank for the last 24 years. The other day I went to their ATM and withdrew $500 (I have plenty of money in my Chequing Account). I found something fishy. My Chequing account was not debited. Rather, they debited my credit card default card (and charged a $20 fee). Now why would I borrow from credit card when I have plenty of money in my chequing account? Oh, I had not signed up for Overdraft Protection. Funny, why More
Commentary On “Health Bill Faces Senate Heat”
Yes and No Jeff. When this ultimately hits the fan whose side do you think the military, law enforcement, et al., will be on? Peruse the net. Google will not bring up this dynamic but it's permeating out there. Use differing search engines to find for which I speak and yes sadly I believe we are getting to this point. I thank God my business is at an apex on an international job search level in the eyes of our buyer. I'm done fighting to keep folks More
A Response To “As CEO Hayward Remade BP, Safety, Cost Drives Clashed”
BP sounds just like Soviet Russia, with its obsession with ticking boxes and achieving performance management system targets. The Russians called the problem 'the cult of the success indicator' and BP looks like a classic example - initiative and forward thinking was completely stiflled, and that is the quality that makes a firm successfull. BP management has done an appalling job by allowing this mindset to take hold of the whole company.

A Response To “Dictator Gadhafi Loses Grip in Libya”
Well, am i prettyt's pretty clear that this guy in completely out of touch with reality. What type of leader goes on tv to say that he wants to kill anyone that stands against him. It is pretty surprising that this revolution happened though with Libanese people being a lot better off economically than they were when Gadhafi supported terrorism about ten years ago. I just hope the best for the Libanese people because a large part of the military More
A Response To “Obama Administration Seeks Internet Privacy Protections, New Policy Office”
OBoob can't regulate everything, even though he's trying. Typical leftist, liberal boob.
Send him back to Chicago and let him try to run it...If he ever had a job, maybe
he'd be more intelligent.
Socialism and Communism don't work.
Anyone on internet identity theft risks identity, etc. every time they use it. Everyone knows this. If you don't want to lose your identity, stay off the internet.
